• The case has form of a tube and is constructed of fragments of plant tissue joined spirally: Phryganeidae (left)
• Sticks, tree-leaves or shells are added to the case construction – they are attached carelessly and randomly sticking to the back and sides; sometimes the case is built of fragments of plant tissues, connected perpendicular to the long axis of the case: Limnephilidae (center)
• The case built in other way: Lepidostomatidae, Beraeidae, and also certain species of Limnephilidae i Leptoceridae (right)
